Medal Design:
Obverse shows the laureated bust of Emperor Franz Joseph I with the inscription FRANC·IOS·I·D·G·IMP·AVST·REX·BOH·ETC·ET·REX·APOST·HVNG.
Reverse bears SIGNUM LAUDIS within a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, topped by the Imperial Crown.
Suspended from the original Austrian wartime ribbon featuring the crossed swords device.

Condition:
Good overall condition with patina and minor surface wear. The ribbon shows light fraying typical of age.

Historical and Collectible Significance:
