Historical and Collectible Significance
The Order of Trujillo was one of the most important state decorations of the Dominican Republic during the authoritarian rule of Rafael Trujillo (1930–1961).
Awards from this period are historically significant and increasingly sought after by collectors of Caribbean, Latin American, and 20th-century political orders.
Dated examples, especially with crossed swords, are considerably scarcer on the market.
Summary
An original Dominican Republic Order of Trujillo (1938) in Officer grade with crossed swords wreath.
Despite enamel damage and missing ribbon, this is a historically important and collectible piece from the Trujillo era, suitable for advanced collectors of Latin American and Caribbean orders.
