Description:
Offered here is a rare and authentic Peru – Distinguished Service Order (Orden al Mérito por Servicios Distinguidos), Commander Class Medal.
This prestigious decoration is awarded by the Peruvian government to honor individuals for exceptional service in public, civil, or military fields.
Design:
The medal features a finely detailed gilt starburst with a central medallion bearing the Peruvian coat of arms, surrounded by the inscription:
“AL MÉRITO POR SERVICIOS DISTINGUIDOS – REPÚBLICA PERUANA.”
It is suspended from an elegant full-sized neck ribbon in deep maroon.
Markings:
The reverse is stamped “C.N. MONEDA LIMA” indicating manufacture by the official Casa Nacional de Moneda in Lima, Peru.
